Lia’s Story
Lia came to me as a student at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts looking for her first set of headshots. Immediately, I saw in her both a strength and a vulnerability that projected really well on camera. As with many of my younger clients, Lia dived in and we were all really happy with the results.
“Tim recently took some amazing headshots of my daughter, we are very pleased. This is the first time she has had headshots taken and she found the experience relaxed and enjoyable. We highly recommend Tim.”
Alex’s Story
As an experienced actor, Alex was looking to update his headshots. He had grown a beard and wanted some versatile shots that were both modern and classic. I think we did it!
“Had a great experience with Tim and cannot recommend him enough for your next headshots. Professional, friendly and generous with his time plus the pictures came out fantastic.”

FAQS
What is your process?
I have a chat with my clients to get an idea of what they are wanting and the type of parts they are currently going for. I show some of the shots each session to my clients and we discuss them. We shoot for about 90 minutes.
What should I bring with me?
A variety of clothes, so we can choose the best selection. A hairbrush/comb and any make-up you may need.
Can I shave?
You can but it all cuts into your time slot.
Can I retouch the images myself?
No. It is important that only I retouch the images to keep consistency and quality.
Who owns the images, me or the photographer?
The photographer always owns the copyright to the images. The shots are licensed to you to promote your career but should not be sold on to third parties.
Do you print images?
No. I recommend ...visualeyes.co.uk
How long does the shoot take?
Around 90 minutes to two hours.
How long is the turnaround for pictures?
24 hours for proof shots
5-7 days for retouches
Can I bring a Friend with me?
Sorry. This can be distracting and cut into your time. There are some great coffee shops nearby. I recommend Nena
What if I don’t like the pictures?
During the shoot, I will show you some of the images on the camera and we can discuss how you feel about them. This is also a good way of giving tips to improve posture and eye contact as we go. I rely on my clients being honest with me during the shoot so we can get the best set for you.
What should I wear?
This is difficult to quantify as we all look good in different things. Remember though that looking tidy is pretty much always a good thing. That means avoiding the onesie.
How many shots do you take?
This depends on how long we need to get the right shots.
How can you be a photographer and a bookseller?
Having worked for many years in various jobs in London, then training as a journalist and writing freelance, I got tired of the cut and thrust and moved to the Chilterns to be nearer family. I now divide my time between photography and bookselling.
