about me
Hello, my name's Tim. I am a headshot and portrait photographer based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
I used to write for magazines such as Time Out, Attitude and the odd newspaper article for The Guardian and The Evening Standard’s Just the Job pages, where I interviewed people with unusual careers. I was also an editor at gay focussed publishing company Chronos and got to write a travel guide to Paris. It was during this time and having seen professional photographers at work while covering stories that I became more interested in photography as a career and portraiture in particular. Getting tired of the cut and thrust of London, I moved to the Chilterns to be nearer family and now I work as a photographer and a bookseller.
Over the past four years, I have worked with both students and professional actors on their headshots. I have also worked with drama students at Buckinghamshire New University and privately with students from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts.
I love working with new people to craft them some wonderful headshots and then hear them say that they got an audition because of them. It’s a wonderful life!
